Paper warranties do not survive the year

The receipt fades

Thermal paper goes blank in a drawer in a few months. The customer still has it, and it says nothing.

Nobody agrees what was promised

A year later the customer remembers one thing and the counter remembers another, and there is nothing to settle it.

The claim is a phone call to whoever was there

Nothing records what was already claimed, so the same entitlement gets honoured twice, or at another branch.

Three steps, and the counter only does the middle one

  1. 1

    Write your terms once

Set up a warranty type for each thing you sell: what is covered, what voids it, how long it lasts, who pays for what. Start from a ready one and edit, or write your own.

  2. 2

    Issue it at the counter

Pick the type, scan the barcode or type the item, add the customer. The terms fill themselves in. Staff never retype a warranty, and never invent one.

  3. 3

    Your customer keeps a link

Sent by email, or handed over on Messenger, Viber or SMS when they have no email. It opens on any phone and there is a PDF if they want one on paper.

A warranty nobody can quietly rewrite

This is the part a photo of a receipt cannot do. Every warranty is signed when it is issued and linked to the one before it, so the record is a chain rather than a row somebody can edit. Change a date, an amount or a line of the terms afterwards and the seal stops matching.

Batches of those seals are timestamped against an independent authority, which is what proves the warranty existed on the day it says it did, rather than being written the week the argument started.

It protects the shop as much as the customer: a claim that was already used is on the record, and so is a warranty somebody says they were given and were not.

What anyone can check

The seal matches
The warranty reads exactly as it did when it was issued.
It is in the shop’s chain
Not a document produced later and slipped in.
It existed by a certain date
Timestamped independently of the shop and of us.

Built for how shops here actually work

Customers without email

A mobile number is enough. The link goes over Messenger, Viber or SMS from the phone in the staffer’s hand.

Warranties the law recognises

The editor points out what RA 7394 asks a written warranty to state and that you have left out, including “no return, no exchange” wording, which is prohibited.

Branches and staff

Give each person only what their job needs. A claim recorded at one branch is visible at the others.

Not a BIR receipt

It records the warranty and says so plainly, so nobody mistakes it for the official receipt you already issue.

Your name on it, not ours

The warranty carries your shop, your logo and your contact details. Replies reach you, not us.

Works on the phone at the counter

Issuing, looking one up and recording a claim are all built for a small screen and one hand.

Simple, flat pricing

Start free and stay free until the shop outgrows it. No fee per warranty, ever: charging by the warranty would make a shop think twice about issuing one.

Questions

Is this an Official Receipt? +

No, and it says so on the document itself. An OR or sales invoice is BIR-regulated and stays your responsibility. Every warranty carries a line telling the customer plainly that it records a warranty only and cannot be used as proof of payment for tax.

What if the customer has no email address? +

A mobile number is enough. Hand the link over on Messenger, Viber or SMS from the phone at the counter, or print the PDF. The warranty is the same record either way, and an email address can be added later.

Can I change a warranty after issuing it? +

Not the terms. They are fixed to the warranty when you issue it, so editing a template later never rewrites what a customer was already promised. If something was entered wrong, void it and issue a new one: the voided record is kept and still verifies, marked as voided rather than deleted.

Do my customers need to install anything? +

No. It is a link that opens in whatever browser their phone already has. There is a PDF if they want it on paper, and they can find every warranty issued to their email address without a password.

I have three branches. Does that work? +

Yes. Each staff member can be limited to the branches they work at and to the parts of the job they do. A claim recorded at one branch is visible at the others, which is what stops the same entitlement being honoured twice.

Does it work without an internet connection? +

No, and it tells you when the connection has gone rather than letting a button do nothing. A warranty is sealed and numbered on the server, so issuing one needs the connection. Warranties already saved as PDFs stay readable offline.

What happens to my records if I stop using Narra? +

Every warranty prints as a standalone PDF whose seal can be checked without us, so the documents your customers hold keep working whatever happens to this company. A one-click export of the whole customer list is not built yet, and is the thing to ask us for if it matters to you.
